ROSEMARY MARTIN Obituary
MARTIN
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Rosemary Martin on Thursday, February 1, 2024.
Rosemary was born and raised in Thunder Bay and was a graduate of Port Arthur Collegiate and Confederation College.
At an early age Rosemary's quest for adventure led her to live in Jasper, Los Angeles and then Toronto where she met her husband Sabi. In 2005 they welcomed the birth of their daughter Isabella who was the highlight of Rosemary's life.
After several years in Toronto, Rosemary and her family moved to Collingwood, Ontario where she enjoyed skiing at Blue Mountain in winter, and beautiful Wasaga Beach in summer, but she always enjoyed her trips home to Thunder Bay to visit with family and friends.
Rosemary had many creative passions in life. She loved gardening, decorating her home, modelling and was also a talented makeup artist known for making many brides beautiful on their wedding day.
Rosemary had a kind heart and a smile that lit up any space. Everyone was welcomed with open arms and love into her home. Her unwavering kindness and dedication to spreading happiness touched the lives of all who knew her. There are truly no words to express the overwhelming heartache and loss felt by those who loved her.
Rosemary was predeceased by her parents Bill and Helen Martin, brother Paul, and brother-in-law Clarke Abick.
She will be deeply missed by her husband Sabi Lamsee, daughter Isabella, siblings, Cathy, Billie (Katharine), Marilyn (Hutch), Michael (Donna) and Marisa (John), her mother-in-law Inger (Peter) Yates, father-in-law Lloyd (Vanessa) Lamsee, brother-in-law Troy (Rotem) Lamsee and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends gathered at Fawcett Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 7 and a Funeral Mass was held the following day at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Collingwood, Ontario.
"May the winds of Heaven blow softly and whisper in your ear, How much we love and miss you and wish that you were here."
