It is with the utmost sadness that we announce the passing of Sandy Rose on January 17, 2022, after a short, determined battle with cancer. Sandy was born a Westfort girl in March 1959, to John (Juksey) and Annette Conrad and little sister to Linda. She often spoke of the communal good times and many lifelong family friends acquired while growing up during her formative years on Bailey Avenue. From there she attended local schools and upon departing Westgate High School joined Saskatchewan Wheat Pool. For fifteen plus years she enjoyed her colleagues and mastered the admin side of the grain industry from her desk in the grain accounting department on the eight floor of the PUC (Wayland) building. In May of 1986 Sandy married Charlie Rose and this past May they celebrated 35 years of marriage together. In 1992 Sandy left Saskatchewan Wheat Pool with the birth of son Neil and regaled in her role as mother and domestic engineer. Her boys were priority one with Sandy as was her upkeep and décor of the family home. As time passed, she had evolved into a modest interior designer and relished time in the back yard with a variety of flowers. She loved spending time working around the house or the yard to enhance the curb appeal. Sandy was predeceased by her parents Juksey and Annette Conrad, son Neil, as well as aunts, uncles and other extended family members. Sandy is survived by her husband Charlie, sister Linda (Jack) Hutton, Wiley, Carter (Stacy) Hutton and family, along with other extended family members. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses on 2 south of the Regional Hospital for their care and compassion, with special thanks to Dr. Ward. To the Bayshore Home Care team a big thank-you for all your support and assistance during Sandy's battle with cancer. An extra special thanks to Sandi at Bayshore for her compassionate kind-hearted care for Sandy. Should friends so desire, donations in Sandy's memory can be made to, the Neil Rose Bursary Fund care of the Lakehead District School Board, to any pet shelter or rescue, or the charity of your choice. As per Sandy's wishes cremation has taken place, there will be no service or memorial.

Sandy was the most beautiful woman, inside and out. I went to high school with her and all of her great friends. Many years later, we shared a glass of wine or two and I was able to express that sentiment to her, and of course, Sandy laughed it off. Charlie I am so sorry for your loss. I will always remember Sandy's contagious laugh and her love of life. May she rest without pain, in peace.

Dear Charlie and Linda and families. I am so sorry to read of Sandy's passing. It has been many years since I have seen her, we worked side by side together at Saskatchewan Wheat Pool in the 80's and 90's. So many fun memories of our time there. Many a pay checks were spent at Eatons, and the downtown stores. She had an eye for fashion. Many laughs. RIP dear Sandy. Bev Gallimore
