Scott Smith

August 21, 1960 - July 7, 2010. Scott Smith, age 49 years, passed away at home after a short but courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Scott was a local boy and spent most of his working career at Bowater until he was laid off on August 21, 2009. He was a good provider and was devoted to the love of his life, Ann. He loved spending time on his many home projects and took great pride in making his house a home for Ann, himself and their "two boys" Kiwi and Seymour. Scott will be deeply missed by his loving partner of 15 years, Ann Bishop; mother Blanche Smith-Martin (Jack); brothers Chris (Monica), Tom (Cathy) and Kim (Caroline); sister Candace Moores and step-son Jay Bishop. Sister-in-law Helen Porter; mother-in-law Anna Raneff and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Our beloved Scott has hone to heaven to join his father Don and brother-in-law Hugh Beaver. A private celebration of life will be held at later date. Because of Scott's great love for animals, in lieu of flowers, donations made to the Thunder Bay Distric Humane Society or P.A.W.S would be greatly appreciated.
