It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Scott Johnathan Wilson. Scott was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario on February 16, 1981.
Scott began a journey of sobriety near the end of April, 2022. While on that journey he completed the treatment program at Dilico, a course at Lakehead University, a six month term at Three C's Reintroduction Centre and then graduated to Seaway. He also secured employment with the Plow King shovelling snow at night as well as a position through the NorWest Community Health Centre working on our local care bus as an outreach worker. He definitely enjoyed working with people on the street. It was like it was something he was meant to do. Unfortunately, after nine months in recovery on January 31, 2023 Scott relapsed and succumbed to his addiction to fentanyl.
Scott will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity and big heart. He will be painfully missed by his family and friends but most of all by his 12 year old son. Daddy totally rocked his world.
A Celebration of Scott's Life will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023 at the North End Recreation Centre located at 954 Huron Street from 6 pm to 8:30 pm.
..........fentanyl is taking too many lives and I would like to remind people to never, never, never use alone!
