July 24, 1969 – April 9, 2018

Two years gone by.

God saw you were getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So He put His arms around you
And whispered “come to me”.
With tearful eyes
I watched you passing away,
Although I loved you dearly
I could not make you stay.

Thy will be done is hard to say,
When one I loved
has passed away.
Some day, perhaps,
I will understand,
When we meet
in that better land.
