NYGARD Mrs. Sharon Anne Nygard, age 61 years, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospice with her family by her side. Sharon was a Christmas present to her family on December 25, 1945 in Hymers to Robert "Scotty" and Jean Lennox. She met and later married Leo Gunnar Nygard on April 3, 1965. Together they raised four fabulous children, first in South Gillies and then later moving to O'Connor where they resided for the past 33 years. Sharon was a fun loving, caring and giving person to her family and all who knew her. She carried the gift of laughter and great humour which was often shared exuberantly with her sisters Fay and Mary. Sharon as we all know, took pride in her yard. She enjoyed camping, dancing, her dog Pacey, vacationing with her husband, and long country drives in their 1973 Beetle. Family was foremost to Sharon and she will be sadly missed by her husband Leo; sons Shawn (LeeAnn) and Sheldon (JoAnne); daughters Kim (Warren Byers) and Candy Johnson (Joel); grandchildren: Sara, Kyla, Jesse, Cody and Dallas all of Kakabeka Falls; brothers Samuel (Barbara) Lennox of Thunder Bay, Robert (Georgina) Lennox of Calgary, Alberta; sisters Mary Kosola of Chillawack, B.C. and Fay (Les) Kosola of Thunder Bay. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. She was predeceased by her parents, sister Louise Hovey and brother-in-law Jack Kosola. A Service of Remembrance for Sharon will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at the Royal Canadian Legion Kakabeka Falls and Rural District Br. # 225 with Pastor Chris Fiorito officiating. A private family graveside service has taken place in the family plot at Hymers Cemetery. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation or to St. Joseph's Hospice Unit would be greatly appreciated. Our Angel Tears may fall, but for awhile. The pain will ease away. Remember all the memories given each and every day. Her smile, her laugh, all her love, Which she gave with all her heart. Touching many through the years, All the times shared "Heart to Heart". Life was her family and her friends. A friend she'll always be. Taken to be safe in the arms of God, A beautiful angel she shall be. Just close your eyes, imagine her there. For now she lives throughout our Love. Knowing she's watching and always near, Looking down from the heavens above. Please sign the On-line Condolences at
