Sheri Hamilton Obituary

January 21, 1965 –
April 29, 2023

With broken hearts, we announce that our loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, Sheri Leigh Hamilton, has passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 29th at the age of 58 years old.

Sheri was born in Port Arthur on January 21, 1965, to Alexander and Donna Hamilton. She was educated locally and worked various jobs throughout her life. Sheri was very artistic, and it showed in her passion of esthetician work, creating unique personable teddy bears, gardening, and at home decorating. However, her greatest passion and most cherished moments were spending time with her family and friends. Sheri will forever be remembered by her free spirit, her unforgettable hugs and kisses, and the kindness she always showed towards others. She had endless love to give.

Sheri will be deeply missed by her son Ryley Melnychuk (Marlo); parents Alexander and Donna Hamilton; her sisters Shelley Prystanski (Brian) and Stacey Hamilton; and nieces Keltie Ford (Joe, Nash and Isla), Chelsea Hamilton (Mercedes), Kortnie MacLeod and Hayley Hamilton (Justin and Hunter).

She was predeceased by her grandparents Dolly and Ken Jennings and Sandy and Ada Hamilton as well as her uncle Donald Jennings and brother-in-law Ken Swerdlyk.

A private service will be held at a later date for immediate family only at the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street. Should family or friends desire, donations made to The Underground Gym in memory of Sheri would be greatly appreciated.

Sheri was a very good friend of mine. She helped me through many tough times when I lived in Thunder Bay. I just heard of her passing and I'm so sorry. Fly high girl, when I own my Hair Salon your spirit will be there, working with me like we said. I love you.
