Stephanie Johnston Obituary

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the unexpected passing of Stephanie Lynn Johnston. Stephanie was born September 28, 1988. Stephanie Lynn Johnston was born and raised in Thunder Bay, Shebandowan Lake, Agimac Lake and other remote locations in Northwestern Ontario. Stephanie attended Holy Family School, Sacred Heart, Sir Winston Churchill, Confederation College, and Lakehead University at the time of her passing. Stephanie was a very determined child and athlete. She loved all her sports especially gymnastics, cheerleading and finally becoming a wrestler. She also very much loved nature and the outdoors. Stephanie spent countless hours downhill skiing, swimming, waterskiing, surfing, fishing and moose hunting with her dad and family. Stephanie was also a very gifted singer and artist. She also had a great compassion for animals, especially her 3 cats Mopey, Tiki and Pongo which she considered her babies. Stephanie loved to spend time with her long time boyfriend Tyler. Their love flourished at Totem Resort and grew stronger over time. She will be loved for eternity by her special friend Ty. Stephanie was a vivacious young woman. She enjoyed life to the fullest. She was one to jump in with two feet, never leave a stone unturned and always stopped to smell the flowers. Her smile shone brightly and often and could light up the room. Stephanie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her mother Marny-Jo Andrychuk, her father Brad Johnston (Kelly), brother Daniel, Grandmother Mary Andrychuk, long time boyfriend Tyler Smith, Uncle Mark Andrychuk (Kerri, Brett), Uncle Lorne Johnston (Rose), Uncle Bob Johnston (Bev), Uncle Jim Johnston (Aunt Kim Bryan), Aunt Lorraine Cook (Bernie) and Uncle Ron Johnston. Stephanie will also be lovingly remembered by her cousins Jason, Micheal, Lauren, Jaimie, Lindsay, Cory, Jocelyn, Jordan, Neil, Evan, Lee and Shawn. Must also mention her little Brett who will miss painting with her. Stephanie will also be sadly miss by her many, many friends. Stephanie was predeceased by her Grandma and Grandpa Johnston (Lloyd and Isabel), Grandpa Andrychuk (Steve) and Uncle Joe Raynak. Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Terry Sawchuk on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 11:00 am at St. Peter's Church, 615 Connolly Street. Final interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery.
