Steve Turko Obituary

The family announces with sorrow his death at the Geraldton District Hospital on Dec. 2 at the age of 90 years. Beloved Husband of Paula and dearest Father of Sophie Cochrane (The late William) Longlac, Victor Tschajka (Diane) Longlac. He will be sadly missed by his Grand Child Lindy Tschajka (Eric), and Three great grand children Nicholas, Mathieu and Alexandre of Kapuskasing. He was predeceased by Mike Tschajka, both of his parents and a brother Sam. Born in Poland He immigrated to Canada in 1951. He was employed by Kimberly-Clark for over 30 years. He Resided in Longlac for 35 yrs. and then moved to Thunder Bay after his retirement. His last couple years were spent in Geraldton at the John Owens Residence. Other than his family, his other love was to spend time outdoors. He could spend hours tending to his flowers, his garden and feeding and listening to the birds. Friends will be received at Fawcett Funeral Home on Dec. 6th. from 7:00-9:00 p.m. The funeral ceremony will be held at St. Theresa Parish on Dec. 7th. at 11:00 a.m. with Father Roger Pronovost officiating. The interment will be held at Pinegrove Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated."
