Susan Hetsler Obituary

September 26, 1958 –
April 12, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Mrs. Susan "Sue" Hetsler, age 64, on Wednesday April 12, 2023.

Sue was born on September 26, 1958 in Dunedin, New Zealand to Bernard and Margaret Johnston. In her early adulthood, she participated in scouting in the rover section, and it was on a fateful trip to St Catherine's rover moot, that she met her husband Lyle. After many letters and calls, and trips back and forth, they married on the 27th of January 1993.

She participated in scouting as a beaver leader and she worked as a lunchtime supervisor at Agnew H Johnston for many years. Sue was an avid knitter, her sweaters were always in demand. In later years she knitted for the Red Cross.

Her bright smile and loud laugh will be missed by all family and friends she has left behind in New Zealand and Canada.

A Celebration of Life for the late Mrs. Susan Hetsler will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 10:00am in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James.

I miss our daily "Good Mornings", and loved when you thought I was swearing when I said it in a different language. There´s nobody out there like you. You will be missed.
