SUSAN SPRINGGAY Obituary
SPRINGGAY January 30, 1958 ~ January 5, 2026
With love and sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Susan Margaret Springgay at Toronto General Hospital, surrounded by her family. Susan was the beloved wife of Colin, a loving mother to Emily, Michelle (Yuri), and Leah (James), and a devoted Nana to Julia and Marcus.
She will be forever missed by her siblings, Cathy (Ron), Nancy (Bob), and Jim (Naomi), and remembered warmly by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. She is predeceased by her parents, Wes and Kay Burton.
Her family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at University Health Network's Toronto General Hospital and the UHN Liver Transplant Program for their exceptional care, compassion, and support throughout her treatment.
A service in celebration of Sue's life was held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at the York Cemetery Chapel in Toronto. Her family asks you to please consider becoming an organ donor. Donations to the Canada Food Bank are welcomed in her memory at foodbankscanada.ca

I worked with Susan many years ago in Thunder Bay when Colin had his furniture refinishing business. Working for lawyers was not easy and coworkers like Susan became good friends. My condolences to the family.
