She attended Port Arthur Collegiate Institute and Confederation College. Upon graduation, she was employed as a Registered Practical Nurse in various capacities for 17 years and had a passion for caring for the elderly. Her contagious energy and genuine compassion for people led her to her final place of employment, Home Depot, where she was the smiling face that greeted customers in her final months. Respecting Susan's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held with immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations would be encouraged to St. Joseph's Hospice where staff graciously provided Susan with the utmost in care and dignity through her final days.
