Tammy Collins (Marcon), age 59, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at St Joseph's Hospice with her family by her side.
Tammy was employed as a school bus driver with Fort William First Nation. She enjoyed her time with the children on her bus, as much as they enjoyed their time with her. They were like her second little family.
Tammy was a strong, beautiful soul who radiated warmth with her unforgettable smile and laughter. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like.
Tammy was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. She cared deeply for her family and friends. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. She was always the first to offer help.
Tammy is survived by her loving husband, Charles Collins; her children, Brittany Anness (Damian) and Landon Collins; her grandchildren, Rhett Collins and Brody Anness; her parents, Louis and Dolores Marcon; and her sisters, Evelyn Elvish (George), Jodi Olson (Oly – Dave), and Keri Nicholas (Darrin); and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Shawn Perring; father-in-law, Charles Ambrose Collins; and mother-in-law, Shirley Collins.
Cremation has taken place.
A private family celebration of life will be held.
Friends wishing to honour Tammy Collins are invited to make a donation in her name to the Northern Cancer Fund of the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation.
