JOHANSEN
Thorwald Johansen, age 74 years passed away peacefully at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Born in Beardmore, Ontario on October 9, 1949. Predeceased by his parents Thorbjorn (1969) and Thomasina ( nee Paterson)(2004). Survived by his wife Linda (Sitarik) and son Thor. Sisters Anna (Wayne) Symons of Florida, US and Jane (Richard) Munro of Kingsville, Ontario. Thor worked as an accountant at Domtar, Long Lac, E.B. Eddy in Espanola and taught at the Lakehead University throughout his younger years and then started up his own office from home doing income taxes, etc. for people. Thor loved to go prospecting for gold in the Greenstone area close to Geraldton and did this for many, many years. His health started to fail him in the last 3-4 years and the heart gave up after having gone through a few strokes. He will sadly be missed by his wife and son and his two sisters.
