(Devina Beaton Davidson Madder Riddock)
On August 15, 2023, the world lost one of the most, trusting, kind, forgiving and loving souls. Vina Riddock (Mom), passed away very unexpectedly in her home. It was always mom's wish to pass at home where she lived the last 45 years of her life, the last two years without her loving husband Barry Earl Riddock who passed in April 2021. Mom missed him every minute of every day and now she is finally with him again. We have no doubt he was with her in spirit when she passed. The last two years, she was supported by her daughter Tammy and her "favorite son" Low, who were diligent at making sure mom was able to manage.
Vina was predeceased by her husband Barry, sister Myrtle Kielt, and both her parents. She leaves behind her daughters Tammy (Low) and Karman (Peter), son Ian (Dave) and grandchildren who were the joy of her life, Courtney (Jacob) and Jessie, Emma, and Heather. Also left to mourn are her brother Charles Madder (Barb) along with many extended family members, and her beloved constant companion, her cat Bandit.
Her children want to share...
We all have that one woman in our lives that we owe everything to. Ours is our mom. Today, our "one" passed away and left a pain like no other in our lives. So today, for the first time in our lives, we don't have that one woman we've always counted on being there, to be there anymore.
Mom, you are and were the best human being a maker ever created. You loved without judgment; you gave when you had nothing to give, and you have been the most loyal person we've ever met in our lives. We will always love you and will try to continue to make you proud even though you're not here in body. You will always be in our hearts, and we can't thank you enough for giving us everything you have over the years.
Rest in peace mom. Give Barry a hug, we know he's been waiting for you for the past two years. We will miss you more than anyone will ever know.
