VIOLET PETERS Obituary


The family of the late Violet Peters is deeply saddened to announce her passing on Thursday, 2025-12-18, at Hogarth Riverview Manor.

Early Life and Family
Violet was born in Trail, British Columbia, to parents Olaf Randen and Helen Randen Rutledge. She first met and married Jerome "Jerry" Rapkoski, and later remarried James Peters. Violet eventually settled in Thunder Bay, where she spent the remainder of her life.

Remembering Violet
Violet will always be cherished for her sharp wit, her outspokenness, her generosity, and her deep affection for German Shepherds.

Family
She is survived by her sons Lorne Rapkoski (Jennifer) and Lee Rapkoski (Wilma).

Violet was predeceased by her husband James "Jim" Peters, her son Lenny, her brothers Orville, Ronald, and David, as well as her sister Loretta.

Special Thanks
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Hogarth Riverview Manor for their compassionate care and support, not only for Violet but also for the family as they navigated the challenges of Alzheimer's and dementia.

Final Arrangements
In accordance with Violet's wishes, cremation has taken place. She will be laid to eternal rest with her husband James at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Oliver Road.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Everest Funeral Chapel, located at 299 Waverley Street at Algoma.
