Wanda Dunn

On Thursday, May 4, 2023, Wanda Dunn (nee MITHRUSH) passed peacefully while surrounded by family. Wanda was a devoted wife, and she would have celebrated her 55th Wedding Anniversary on May 11th. She was also a mother and grandmother and it was family she treasured most of all. Wanda was a shining light in all their lives but it was her intense bravery throughout her life that they will remember most. And in the end she bravely accepted her final diagnosis, commenting that she had lived a full and wonderful life. She encouraged us to live, to travel, and to buy the good stuff! Remember Wanda fondly and please toast her with a glass of white wine!

Wanda is survived by her husband Stephen, her daughters Hilary (Michael Hayne) and Jennifer (Peter Moynes), her beloved grandchildren, Dylan and Jaime Moynes, her sisters Yvonne, Patricia Frattini, Donna Viana, and Mary Jane Kassinger. In Thunder Bay she is survived by her brother Mike ‘Tinker' Mithrush, nieces and nephews Kim (Patrick) Manduca, Tasha (Taki) Vlotaros, Rob (Debbie) and Joe (Carly) Mithrush.

Funeral services will take place in Toronto on Friday, May 12, 2023. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local Cancer Centre in her memory.
