WAYNE SHAW Obituary

April 26, 1945 - September 10, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Wayne William Shaw. There are no words to express how wonderful he was to his love of his life of over 58 years of marriage, Elizabeth (Betty)Shaw. His four children James, Lori-Ann, David and Deborah are very proud of their father. Ten Grandchildren and six Great-Grandchildren will miss him.

Wayne was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia to William (Bill) and Ethlyn Shaw. He came to Thunder Bay at 3 months of age, where they resided in Fort William. He was the second of three children Michael and Gary Shaw.

Wayne was a jack of all trades. He worked at the Grain Elevators and shipyard in his younger years. He trained in refrigeration at Buchan and Johnson electric and worked there for many years, which led him to open his business, "Domestic Appliance Repair" he opened in 1987. He was very devoted to all his clients.

Wayne enjoyed fishing, hunting, along with the joys of gardening. He was very loved by all of his furry companions, and enjoyed cooking for his family.

There will be no funeral service and cremation has taken place, a private gathering will be with his family.

You are missed every day For you are someone special Who meant more than words can say WE ALL LOVE YOU

I love you and miss you so much Grandpa. Not a day goes by that I don´t think of you. Thank you for always putting a smile on everyone´s faces and never failing to keep the conversation going. Especially with aliens! Until we meet again, thank you for everything

My condolences go out you, Betty and your Family. Wayne and his son Jamie would be my go to guys when it came to getting my appliances repaired. What I enjoyed was after Wayne did the repairs he took the time to talk about politics, the economy and a lot of other subjects. He was aware of things going on in Thunder Bay, around the world and had a humorous take on those topics. He was a interesting person to talk with and a nice guy. Rest in peace Wayne. Sam Oppedisano
