WENDY LEGARDE Obituary

WENDY LeGARDE March 26, 1955 - February 7, 2024
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the loss of Our beloved Mother, Sister, Aunty, Grandma, Great Grandma Wendy Lynn LeGarde. Taken from us way too soon at the young age of 68, she passed away peacefully after a short but very courageous battle with Cancer. Wendy was born March 26, 1955 in Fort William Ontario. To Father Henry (Bud) Frizzell and Mother Marjorie (Marnie) Frizzell. Wendy was such a proud and Loving Mother, Grandma and Great Grandma. She always enjoyed spending her summers and holidays with her family. Wendy also enjoyed the outdoors, those Sunday shopping trips, or a camping trip to follow the powwow trail with her longtime friend Yvonne Pierre. Wendy is survived by her beloved daughter Sandy (Jamie) Kardal, son Cory (Roxanne) LeGarde, brother Phil (Lorraine) Frizzell, sister Judy (Dom) Richard, granddaughter Savannah (Parker), Simon, Darius, Chase, Heather, William, Parker, Matti, Cassie, great-grandchildren, Naveah, Quinn and Ari-Lou. A huge heartfelt thankyou to the staff at St. Joseph's Hospice Especially Dr. Bassuony, Nurses Holly & Sarah thankyou for your kind and compassionate care. Also thankyou to the VON nurses who really helped me alot and care for mom Lucja, Tara and Rachelle. A Celebration of Life for Wendy Lynn LeGarde to follow at a later date. Donations made in Wendy's name can be made to St. Joseph's Care Group/ Hospice.

So sorry for your loss. I have many pleasant childhood memories of time spent with Wendy. She was a cousin, but more like a sister to me. Life moved us in different directions, but we always kept in touch. My condolences to the family.
