BSC, MD.June 3, 1942 ~October 2, 2013Passed away peacefully at home of prostate cancer. Beloved husband of Françoise Boisvert Govan of almost 48 years. Loving father of William Govan (Paula McKnight) and Francine Govan. Loving grandfather of Austin and Mackenzie Govan. Dear brother of John Govan S.J., and Louise (Ladd Wilson). Dear son of William and Marie (Vandette) Govan. He is also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, friends, colleagues and ex patients. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Friday, October 4, 2013 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Finnan's Catholic Church on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 11 am. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Prostate Cancer Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Bob a tree will be planted in Memory Woods.
