WILLIAM MacKENZIE Obituary

MacKENZIE
With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of William Henry MacKenzie, on June 3, 2025, at the age of 64.

Bill was born on November 9, 1960, in Terrace Bay, Ontario, to Lorraine and Bill MacKenzie. He spent over four decades as a heavy equipment operator at the Terrace Bay mill and was most recently employed with Cloutier Contracting in Greenstone.

Family was the cornerstone of Bill's life. He was a devoted husband to Joan, his wife of 40 years, and a proud father to his daughters, Chrystal (Jayden Harloff) and Kelly (Pierre Cresswell). His grandchildren - Cohen and Clara Harloff, and Trystan Cresswell - were among his greatest joys, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Bill will also be deeply missed by his extended family and many friends.

Known for his love of the outdoors, Bill also enjoyed going to the gym, boxing, and spending time with his loyal dog, Gus. His easygoing nature, strong work ethic, and big heart touched the lives of many.

In keeping with Bill's wishes, there will be no formal service.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

I am very sorry for the loss of such a kind hearted, wonderful man. It was always a pleasure to see Bill and receive a cheery hello when walking through the wood room. He had a great sense of humor and was always fun to chat with. Way too young

Bill was a spirited and loving friend - many great memories of Bill and his love or working out, boxing or running - his long strides were always hard to keep up with. Family and work to make his family better is what Bill always had on his mind. To Joan and his girls and now the entire family - we can only offer our deepest sympathy for a great one gone far too soon. I am sure Stan will meet him to ease his journey to the next level.
