2015
It is with great sorrow that the family of William (Bill) Pytyck, age 77, announces his peaceful passing on Friday, January 2, 2015 with his family by his side. Bill is survived by his wife and soul mate of 56 years Bernice, his children Jim (Helene), Janice, Maureen (Randy), Carrie and the lights of his life his three grandchildren, Randii-Lynn, Cody, and Brodie. Bill was born on March 13, 1937 in Port Arthur. He grew up in Current River and spent his childhood excelling in all sports but his passion was hockey and baseball. In 1958 Bill married Bernice and settled in Terrace Bay working at Kimberly Clark as a pipefitter/plumber until his retirement. Bill was an avid Toronto Maple Leaf and Blue Jay Fan. His other great love was fishing and his trips out to the slate Islands; however his greatest love and pride were his grandchildren, whom he taught how to enjoy and live life. His important life lessons were subtle but plentiful. He was a kind and generous man who often did not say much however when he did it was profound. He was predeceased by his mother Mary, father John, son Daniel in infancy, sisters Stella and Helen, and brothers, Michael, Steve and Walter. He is also survived by his sisters Dolly Kramer (Lorne), Emily, sister-in-law Georgina, many nieces and nephews, and a large extended family. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will occur at a later date in Terrace Bay. The Family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff of the ICU at the T.B.R.H.S.C. for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
