William (Bill) John Edward SPROULE, passed away at Hospice on Saturday, April 1, 2023, with his children by his side. Dad was born in 1938 at Little Longlac (Geraldton). Our Dad was a very proud Irishman and electrician (IBEW Local 402). Family was most important to dad and he loved spending time at camp at Little Trout Bay, especially going to the conservation area in his racing car golf cart to talk to people. In the last few years he would talk to anyone who came to visit about his working career. His major highlights were working at the mill in Terrace Bay and later all his fly-in trips to Northern communities (where he met so many wonderful people and had a lot of great fishing stories). Survived by his children Lynda (Jack Kallos), Kevin (Sharon Morrison) and Shawn. Grandchildren: Michael, Tyler (Linh) and Brittany (Kyle). Great grandchildren: London, Eddie, Conner, Olivia, Owen and Jackson. Sister-in-law Pat van Herksen (John) Winnipeg. Nephews: Darryl, Chris, Peter and Marc van Herksen and Neil and Colin Sproule and families. Predeceased by: wife Valerie, parents William and Violet, brother George (Edith) and son-in-law Rob Chicorli. They say it takes a village to raise a child. It took a city to keep our dad in his home. We would like to thank all those that helped us keep our Dad at home where he wanted to be. Our neighbours, what would we have done without you, thanks for everything. Our first responders, you are all our heroes. Paramedics, thanks so much for treating dad like your own, picking him up when he fell or any other issue he had he would press his medic alert. Especially the care you gave to us all and taking Dad to Hospice. Fire fighters, when you came thank you. Home Care, LIHN, thanks. Care Partners, Faith “The Boss” and workers, dad loved you all and thanks so much for taking such great care of him. Chris, Erika and Caroline from SE Health, you truly were our Angels – thanks for guiding us thru this journey. Meals on Wheels volunteers, thank you for the special treatment. Those that came to visit him or bring him a meal or coffee, he loved to see you. Dr. Kevin Bezanson and Team, we were lucky to have you on our team and thanks for everything you did for our dad. Those that helped him when he was out on his scooter or shopping and helping him with anything. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. A private interment will be held later. In memory of our dad, spend some time with your family or talk or smile at a stranger.

My Condolences to the family. I had know Bill for many years first in Terrace Bay and then working together for many years together. My last remembrance of him was at his camp at Little trout bay. I was kayaking there with some friends and Bill came by in his scooter. He chatted with us and we offered him a burger we had prepared. I will miss Bill and all his stories.

Sincere condolences to Bill´s (William´s) family and friends. I worked with Bill in Terrace Bay on a boiler rebuild after a major fire there in 1981. Bill was a fixture at that mill for many years working there first for Lindgren Electric then for Frazer Electric. RIP brother Bill.

Sincere sympathy to Bill's devoted family. We will miss seeing our neighbor "scooting" around. He was always friendly & smiling despite his health issues. He is reunited with his beloved Valerie.
