WINNIFRED DILLEY Obituary

DILLEY
Winnifred 'Wynn' Myrtle Patricia Dilley passed away peacefully on March 26th 2026 in Thunder Bay. Born April 2nd 1923 in Fort William to Ivy and Percy Saunders with older sister Gwen and younger brother George. Wynn married Walter 'Bill' Dilley (Son of Charles and Rose Dilley) on March 3rd, 1944. Wynn worked for the Federal Employment Insurance Commission until she retired at 60 years old. Bill passed away in 1979 and Wynn stayed in her own home until age 100. They had two daughters Linda Gordon and Gail Poole.Wynn volunteered at the local 55+ Centre for 15 years where she enjoyed meeting old and new friends. Having few relations in Thunder Bay, Wynn travelled frequently to visit them elsewhere. She dearly loved her grandchildren Geoff, Graham, Chris and Sarah and great grandchildren Jake, Rachel, Katie and Laurel. Thank you to all neighbours from the community who helped her stay in her home for so long, especially good friends Bob McMillan and Todd Little. Her gregarious nature and incredible longevity allowed Wynn to enjoy many years with family and a wide circle of friends who will miss her and fondly carry her memory. In lieu of flowers memorials to the T.B.R.H.S. Foundation would be appreciated.
