ZACHARIAS LOTSIOS Obituary

LOTSIOS
Zacharias "Jack" Lotsios, age 91 years, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, with family by his side.

Jack was born on January 1, 1935, in Agia Sotera, Greece. He came to Thunder Bay at the age of 16, joining family in the pursuit of greater opportunity. Later, Jack returned to Greece to marry the love of his life, Effie, and they immigrated to Canada in 1959.

He worked as a milkman for over 30 years. He loved gardening, cooking, watching hockey and wrestling, playing cribbage, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family. Those who knew Jack remember him for his love, kindness, thoughtfulness, and his smile.

Jack will be missed and remembered by his wife and soulmate Ificenia "Effie" Lotsios, his son George Lotsios (Bonnie), granddaughters Alexis Whitcroft (Zachary) and Felicia Lotsios (Daniel), brother Chris Lotsios (Chrisanthi) and sister Faye Karoutas. Jack was also cherished by his in-laws Bill Hatzis (Stella), Terry Hatzis (Theodora), and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Yiorgo and Paraskivoula Lotsios, brother-in-law Timoleon Karoutas, and nephew John Lotsios.

The family of Jack would like to thank the staff at Roseview Manor, St. Joseph's Hospital, Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, and Father Konstantinos Tsiolas.

A celebration of life will take place with close family and friends. If desired, donations may be made in Jack's memory to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Thunder Bay.

Jack was a wonderful man...so kind and soft spoken. I worked at Palm Dairies for several years along with my Dad, Dave Dufault. My heart is with his family.
