I met Frank in Gibraltar in a youth hostel...1965? A poor judgement in hiking buddies, I found myself there alone and in trouble. As a young blond woman, a N. African backpacking trip was a dangerous idea. Frank suffered from dysentery and I must have worn him down begging him to let me do the crossing with him. After informing me, in all integrity, that he was newly engaged and super happy, he agreed. A gentleman all of the way. Funny, grounded and very Canadian in the best ways. Me...French born in Algiers and an American. He encouraged me to put a Canadian flag on my pack as Americans and the French were on bad terms with the Arabs. I was trying to find my French brother who was living on the frontier of Tunisia and Algeria...We had not seen one another since I was 2 years old. I would never have found him if it had not been for Frank. I can't count the times he rescued me from scary situations caused by my naiveté, blond hair and cut-off jeans (they were the rage in the US)... in a Muslim country...just 3 years after their revolution. I am so very disappointed that I waited this long to find him. I was raised and lived for many years in Seattle. Sooo close and so far. Deeply saddened that our hysterical and dangerous road could not be revisited. I hope you know some of his stories. To his family, I imagine him to have been an incredible dad, husband, friend and teacher. His smile is the same. Show us the way into the mystery Frank. Thank you for saving me and reconnecting my family. A la procaine. Bobbie-Alex Butz duMauriee

I had the pleasure of having Mr.Coldicott for woodworking at Brock. He sometimes had his own projects,he made some very very nice furniture and bowls from the lathe . He was very talented in that area.

I'm sorry for your lose, (your Dad) Frank was one of the 1st people I met when I got into Real Estate back in 93. (He taught a post licensing course I was taking).
I vividly remember him standing at the front of the room...a tall lanky man with a warm smile and untucked shirt...at the start of the class he reaching right and spreading his arm's as wide as he could, confidently saying while waving his hand, "do something over here and something will grow over there" as he's shifting his weight to his left side:). Ironically I now teach that same class and have referred to that story countless time.
RIP Sir,
Peace VC
