JANET L. LEMMON Obituary

Janet Lemmon passed on August 16th, 2022 attended by close family. Janet had developed pulmonary fibrosis, a progressive and terminal illness. She chose MAID (Medical Assistance in Death) for a non-hospitalized, peaceful passing. Janet donated her body to the Body Donation Program at UBC. She was supported throughout by her beloved daughter, Caili, and a devoted group of friends. Special gratitude to Hunter, Ron, Sally, Grace, Alia and Alan, Dr. Belgraver and Dr. Goojha. Janet had been a RMT since 1977. She worked in private practice and was previously head instructor of Manual Skills at WCCMT. She loved her family and friends, the arts, reading and a good pun. Janet requested people remember her in their own ways as there will be no service at this time.

Janet was my first teacher at WCCMT in 2000, and she was my most beloved, inspiring and traditional massage teacher. She became a friend, and the last time I saw her, we attended a funeral of a classmate together. May The Longtime Sun Shine Upon You Janet. With Love, Francesca

We just heard of Jane´t passing. We were her students in 1988 at WCCMT. She was a very kind and intuitive therapist who helped usher many amazing therapists into the world, who then went on to help others. Our deepest condolences to Janet´s family and friends. We will always remember her for her famous saying, "you will come to know", and we did. Bonnie and Paul

Janet taught us manual skills in 1999 and was always so calm, caring and funny. Our class will always remember with such fondness.

So sorry Caili for the loss of your Mom. Janet was always such a delight when we visited her home. And thankful. I am so lucky to have known her. Thinking of her makes me smile. Again, sorry for your loss
