JUDI LIBIN Obituary
It is with deep regret that we announce the very sudden passing, due to cancer, of our very much loved Judi. She was affectionately known as Bubs to her 12 grandchildren. Judi is survived by her husband of 47 years, Len; sons Doran (Ashley), and Joel (Stephanie), daughter Shayla (Reggie) King; brother Dr. Wayne Halliwell; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Paul and Karen Libin; sisters-in-law Gail Stone and Louise Gauthier; Uncle and Aunt Phil and Harriet Libin; Aunt Nettie Sarvas and many nieces and nephews. Aside from being an amazing wife, mother and Bubs, Judi was also a very warm, caring, loving, loyal and fun-loving friend. She was a driving force behind the formation of Shalom BC and active in many other areas of the community. Friends and family will remember her "Hush, Hush, Hymie" parties, and the wonderful and delicious array of food that was served. She loved baking, especially for the grandkids, and was known for her banana bread and making a "mean" kugel. Judi moved to Gibsons, on the Sunshine Coast, where she and Len built her dream home right on the water. She loved Gibsons. She also loved showing her grandchildren around the aquarium, walking the esplanade with the family dog Jersey and doing her crosswords, and sudokus, on the deck. Judi led a good, healthy active life, it was just too short. She still had so much to give. To know Judi was to love her and we are absolutely devastated but, also so fortunate, that she was part of our lives. Services were held in Vancouver on Sunday, September 12, 2021. Donations can made to the Nicholas Sonntag Marine Education Centre.
