RAYMOND HICKMAN Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce our father has passed away. His last days were spent with his children by his side.

Dad came to the coast in August 1965 to work at Howe Sound Pulp and Paper as a Steam Engineer until his retirement. He was a long term member of the Roberts Creek Golf and Country Club where he enjoyed many rounds of golf with his friends. He was also a debenture holder of the Gibsons Curling Club.

Most of all Dad was an extremely loving and proud father to his three children, Rodney Hickman of Vancouver, Leona (Paul) Beacom of Surrey, and Theresa (Nathan) de Boer of Gibsons.

He is survived by his brother Neil (Lorranie) Hickman of Cranbrook, B.C., his sisters Dru Ann (John) Wynnychuk of Bashaw, Alberta and Marilyn Greene of Edmonton Alberta, his grandchildren Elizabeth Beacom, Stephanie Beacom, Dylan Hubel and Jessica de Boer as well as four great-grandchildren.

Memorial will be held at the Roberts Creek Golf and Country Club on Saturday, April 13, from 1pm-3pm.

So very sorry to hear of Rays death, he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. We have known Ray 61 years (high school), lost contact, found each other again some years ago. A lovely man, always enjoyed his visits and phone calls. We had lots of laughs together. Will miss him greatly. We wish we could come to the memorial, we will be with all of you in spirit. Rip dear friend. Frank and Sharon Gilfillan.

Will miss a dear friend and mentor during the Port Mellon Canfor days as a Steam Engineer. Worked with Ray for several years in the Steam Plant.
May you enjoy a spiritual game of golf with your heavenly maker.
I am unable to attend the celebrations because we are in Singapore &Malaysia
