David INNES Obituary
Passed away peacefully with family at his side on Saturday, April 1st, 2017
at the age of 82.
Dave was born at Baptizing Creek near The Pas Manitoba on October 21st, 1934.
He moved to Cochrane in 1971, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator
till the economic crash of 1980. With his entrepreneurial drive, Dave started his own
company Innes Excavating and always said he was "Right in his Glory"
while working for himself.
David is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janet, his children Karen Innes of The
Pas, Manitoba, Cheryl Innes (Brian) of Calgary AB., Kelly Innes of Cochrane AB.
Barry Innes (Maureen) of Cochrane AB., Darren Innes (Nancy) of Eston, Sask.,
Robin Innes (Heather) of Calgary AB, and sisters Mary and Betsy. Honorary
Son Larry Want of Cochrane AB. Also, David had 12 grandchildren, 22 great
grandchildren, and 3 plus 1 on the way great-great grandchildren, along with many
nieces, nephews and extended family.
David was predeceased by his brothers Fred, Stan and Robert as well as his sister
Lizzy and his grandson, Jesse Innes.
A memorial service in his honor will be held Monday afternoon April 10th, 2017 at
3:00pm - 6:00pm at the Frank Wills Memorial Hall, 405 1st Street East Cochrane.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army Agape Hospice in
Calgary, Alberta.
