ANDERSON, Glen Edward

April 20, 2016 - Calgary, Alberta
Glen Anderson, beloved husband of June (nee Vogel) of
Cochrane, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at
the age of 82 years.
Glen was born in Carmangay, AB. He was a dedicated gas
plant operator, working for Shell Oil Jumping Pound from
1953 until his retirement. Glen loved wood-working, but
family mattered most to him.
Besides his loving wife of sixty-three years June, Glen
is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Wayne
Douglas and Joanne of Calgary, Brett Wade of Coleman,
AB; two daughters and sons-in-law Sherri Donna and George
Szabo of Okotoks, AB, Deborah Anne and Bruce Graham of
Brights Grove, ON; four grandchildren and spouses, Lance and Claire Hilton
of Westbrook, AB, Dawn and Robbie Kaschl of Lloydminster, AB, Kalie
and Jonathan Reimer of Calgary, and Travis Anderson of Calgary; and five
great-grandchildren, Coralee and Mackenzie Hilton, Quinton and Ashton
Kaschl, and Molly Reimer; as well as a sister and brother-in-law, Bet and Mel
Kruse of Spruce Grove, AB. He was predeceased by his son Barry Walter; and
two siblings, Aubrey Nelson and Helen Brien.
No formal service will be held. Condolences may be forwarded through
www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family wishes to specially thank all the doctors
and support staff of the ICU Pod A Unit at the Foothills Medical Centre.
In living memory of Glen Anderson, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek
Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Cochrane,
