MAJOR, Alexander 1933 - 2016 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alex on January 24, 2016 at the age of 83. Alex was surrounded by the love of his family and will be dearly missed by his wife of 61 years Barbara, sons Alan (Debbie), Brian (Trish), daughter Barbi (Russ), 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and his sister Lena West. When he retired as a lumber mill supervisor years ago, his employees presented Alex with the old steam whistle - the very soul of the mill. And in a very special way,that said who he was more than any words can.
