Arnott BURHOE Obituary
BURHOE, Arnott Gregg (Gregg)
November 18, 1940 - July 25, 2023
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gregg Burhoe, peacefully in the early morning hours of July 25, 2023 in Tsawwassen, BC.
Gregg is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sharon, his two sons Scott (Denise) and Wayne (Kathy), grandchildren Jackson, Cooper and Tia, and sister Janet.
Gregg and Sharon moved to Tsawwassen in 1967 with Gregg spending much of his career teaching Math, Sciences, and Stagecraft at Delta Secondary School.
With a love of the theatre, Gregg was instrumental in the founding of DSS's Genesis Studio in 1975, and later in the creation of the Genesis Theatre. He spent countless afternoons, evenings and weekends working on various school productions throughout his career at DSS.
As an extremely organized and avid traveller, Gregg would meticulously plan family summer vacations, which often included custom building his own luggage and camping storage for tenting trips across Europe and parts of Asia. Gregg was always on the go, never putting his feet up and rarely spending more than a night in one place, while ensuring family visits to every cathedral, castle, theatre, fountain, monument, historical site and general oddity possible.
Gregg and Sharon's passion for travel continued throughout their retirement, with many more travels in Europe, China, South America, Egypt, Vietnam, Cambodia and beyond.
Gregg was a lifelong member of the Anglican Church and one time president of the Anglican Young Peoples Association of Canada.
Our sincere thanks to KinVillage for their excellent care of Gregg over the past year.
Gregg's funeral Service will be held at St. David's Anglican Church in Tsawwassen on Thursday, August 3rd, at 1:30 p.m. (1115 - 51A Street, Delta).
A loving husband, brother and father,
Gregg with be sorely missed.
