I will never forget, when we met in 1995 in Paris, France, then in Vancouver, and talked about your french background. Due to distance we have lost in sight... Always remind in my mind.
Thanks for the good times and rest peacefully.

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Bruce. My family & I know Bruce through his dog Makani. We were the original owners of Makani and he had such a great love for Mako (Makani). And while we were saddened to let Makani go, Bruce was so excited to have him in his life & allow us to continue to be a part of Mako's life from time to time. I pray that Makani's new owners will love him with as much love that Bruce had for him, his best friend & companion. I'm sure Makani misses him so much. My condolences to Bruce's family & friends

Dear Bruce,

Your sudden death came as a real shock, especially as we had our travels in Europe all organised for next week - I'll be thinking of you throughout the trip, it won't be the same without you mate. I had many great adventures in my life thanks to you. Your gentle nature, determination, & humour will be sorely missed. May you rest peacefully.

Lots of love, Brad

I was sorry to learn of Bruce's passing

Thank you so much for forwarding Bruce's obituary to me. It is thoughtful and well written. He would have approved.

I see that his memorial service is Saturday. As the B.C. representative of the McGuire step-brother and sisters, I was planning on attending the ceremony. Unfortunately as I live on Vancouver Island and the lack of time to plan to go over to the mainland, I will not be able to attend.

Please think of Francis, Sylvia and Veronica when you honor Bruce. He was a big part of our lives in adolescence as we were a blended family. Bruce also loved our children and followed their paths through technology. But most of all, Bruce was very close to my mother Simone who passed away in November. We had a memorial for her last week in Nova Scotia. Bruce would have loved to be there to honor our mother. We thought of him and toasted him while we were together.

If I had to tell a story it would be this one: Christmas in Windsor Junction, Nova Scotia. Bruce was about 15 and somehow got into the booze. By the end of the evening he was on the floor in the corner insisting on "more Christmas carols!" He made us all laugh and we have been teasing him about it ever since.

Thank you for being a good friend to him.

I worked with Bruce at Air Canada in Toronto and he actually shared my apartment for a while before going out west. A great guy, even though he insisted on painting my place charcoal grey! We corresponded a lot and he had just invited me to the 'cottage' in Tennecape N.S. as it had been years since I was there. So this came as a shock. RIP old friend.

I am saddened and shocked to learn of Bruce's death. Although I did not know him long or well, I had the honour of assisting Pat return from YVR to Halfax weeks before her death. Bruce was so concerned for his mother's safe and comfortable passage.
