Bruce PFEIFER Obituary

1957 – 2012

The Voice of Vancouver Traffic passed away suddenly on February 21, 2012.
Bruce loved his job at News 1130. Many heard him daily giving us up-to-date reports, with flare.

He enjoyed his many friends and family; always keeping us entertained…..Margaritas were his specialty.

He was predeceased by his devoted mother, Doreen. He leaves behind his faithful wife, Debbie, stepdaughter Elizabeth (Lance), Lisa (Greg); grandchildren Evan, Sarah and his new love Connor. Also survived by his father Bill, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. A special Thanks to our good friend, Dave Taylor.

Tributes to Bruce can be found on the News 1130 website.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mental Health and The Cancer Society.

Memorial will be announced at a later date.

our paths crossed many years ago as teenagers. I remember many memories filled with laughter. Life is never easy. There is peace in the arms of Jesus. You have sought for that peace for such a long time.

Bruce was more than a co-worker during our 12 years together at News1130. He was a dear dear friend who always knew how to find the silver lining in the cloud of those chaotic newsroom days. I'm only sorry that we never followed through on how many times we said we would get together but didn't. Bruce, you will be missed and I hope you know how much you were loved and admired by those whose paths you crossed. Deb, once again my deepest condolences. You and your family are in our thoughts and we pray for your continuing strength in dealing with your tragic loss. God Bless.

I worked with Bruce for about five years at News1130. He had to be the friendliest person in the place, always quick with a joke and a clever line. He was the real deal - a broadcaster who loved the business and who loved working with his colleagues. We all loved him back. Goodbye Bruce.

I am sorry about your loss. Turn to God and gain strength from His words found at Psalms 46:1.
