Denise Wan

WAN, Denise March 17, 1951 – December 31, 2015 Our cherished wife and mother, Denise Wan, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2015 surrounded by her family in Richmond, BC, at age 64, after a two-year battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband Cyril Wan of 39 years, and her beloved children James, Stephanie & husband Jeremy, and Diane & husband Elliot. She was a caring daughter to her father Yong Nyan Tow Cheong Wong and late mother Man Voon Tow Cheong Wong. She was a loving sister to Jeanette, late Chantal & husband Jacques, Joseph & wife Magdalen, Antoine & wife Juliette, Eileen, Monique, Caroline & husband Edward, and Peter & wife Kazuko. She was born in Rose-Hill, Mauritius, and moved to Vancouver in 1977, after obtaining her Chartered Accountancy designation in London, England in 1976. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with her family. She faced life challenges with courage and she was a tremendous support to everyone close to her. She will be remembered with immense love by everyone who had a chance to know her. A Prayer Service will be held St. Paul Parish, 8251 St. Albans Road, Richmond, BC, on Friday, January 8th, 2016 at 6:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul Parish on Saturday, January 9th, 2016 at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Ocean View Burial Park, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, our family would greatly appreciate any donation in memory of Denise to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Paul Parish New Church Building Fund.
