SIKSTROM, Donnaray Estelle (Donna) January 4, 1933 - October 1, 2021 It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Donna Sikstrom at the age of 88. She was predeceased by her sister, Gustine "Gussy" (George) and brother, Fred (Madge). Donna was born in Vancouver to Fridolph and Ida Sikstrom and attended Kitsilano Secondary School. She worked for the British Columbia Electric Company before joining the Vancouver Public Library, where she remained for thirty years until retirement. Apart from working, Donna spent most of her time caring for family members. During her final years she lived in her home in Ladner, and later at the Delta View Life Enrichment Centre, Cascades Unit. The caring staff there, were fond of Donna and unfailingly treated her with gentleness and professionalism. Donna was a kind and gentle soul. She loved nature and animals, especially her houseful of cats. She will be remembered warmly by her cousin Mary Crumblehulme (Brian) of Mayne Island and her many friends. A memorial service for Donna, and other recently deceased residents will be held at the Delta View Life Enrichment Centre. Due to the COVID pandemic, details are not yet available.
