E. Bethune Obituary

Passed away suddenly in his peaceful Lynn Valley home. Michael was born in Vancouver and grew up in West Vancouver. After high school, Michael moved to Whistler where he immersed himself in his passions of skiing and exploring the mountains. He had a beautiful eye for detail in nature and he translated this into painting stunning mountainous landscapes with surrealist touches. After moving back from Whistler to North Vancouver, Michael had a long career as Set Dresser in the Vancouver film industry working on many T.V. series and major feature films. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Nova (Edward), brother Stewart (Jane), nephew Ben, niece Ella, and father Ted along with many friends. He is remembered for his thoughtfulness, creativity and sense of humor. In his memory please consider donating to your local wildlife and nature society.
