ATTFIELD, Edward (Ed) Albert

Edward (Ed) Albert Attfield (80), of Delta, British Columbia (B.C.), passed away at home on May 29, 2023. Ed was born to Albert and Jean Attfield on February 2, 1943, in Red Deer, Alberta. He is predeceased by his parents and brother, Ron Attfield. After moving from the Prairies, Ed lived a large portion of his life in Victoria, B.C., moving to the mainland in the mid 1980s. He was a talented musician who loved playing guitar. Ed was the lead guitarist in the band the Pharaohs, popular from 1958 - 1972. In addition to his love of music, he enjoyed the beaches in Tsawwassen and road trips along the Oregon Coastline. In the latter half of his life, he greatly enjoyed his work with FedEx and all the many connections he made along the way. He loved to chat and spoke fondly of all of those who he crossed paths with during his employment years.

Ed is survived by his loving daughter, Dr. Chanelle Edwards and his former wife, Sheila Edwards. A private celebration of life will be held with immediate family.

In honour of Ed, please enjoy some quiet time

So long Ed. I,m going to miss that great sense of humour and all the good conversations about anything and everthing. A few cold beer now and then or Sunday morning coffee,a little reminiscing about working at Fedex. Your friendship will be missed by everyone who knew you.

Dear Chanelle and Sheila. Ed was an interesting character, and to me was distinguished by the love and respect he showed to his family above all. I am devastated by the loss of my buddy, my guitar teacher, my stock advisor, and my trip-to-Seattle-for-baseball partner. Ed's kindness, smile, laugh, and optimism always made my day. The day is dark now, but Ed, in respect, we will head out to the beach and hopefully play some tunes to brighten things up. I know you'll be there!! Love, Gary and Pearl
