February 11, 1940 - July 11, 2024
Eileen Mills passed away surrounded by those who loved her. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Roger Mills (who never left her side), her much loved son Darcy Stolte (Kristi), her cherished grandson Lukas Stolte and sister Evelyn Murphy-Barrett (Pat). Predeceased by her parents Rex & Anne Langille, sisters Carolyn Petropolis and Joan Kelly. Eileen was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and after a happy upbringing she ended up on the west coast. She started a career at Scotiabank and eventually retired as Branch Manager of the Robson & Bute branch. She was loved by her staff and clients and was a pioneer for women in the banking industry. At the bank she met the man whom she would marry on December 29th, 1979. Eileen and Roger were happily married for almost 45 years and settled living in South Delta. Eileen was active in many clubs including the artist guild, bridge club and book club. Thank you to nephew Johnny Legere for helping us in our time of need. Roger would also like to thank the close friends and neighbours who have been so supportive during this time. Many thanks to the wonderful, kind hearted staff at both VGH and Irene Thomas Hospice care (especially Maureen).

Eileen was my great bridge partner for several years. She also supported my art endeavors for a few years at the art club. She came on our boat with Roger for a Christmas Carol Ship tour in Ladner a while ago. She was a very good friend.
