WATSON, Fay Marilyn
Fay passed away peacefully on February 28th, 2024. She will always be lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years Bruce, sons Doug (Leslie), Jamie (Audine) and daughter Laura (Gavin) grandchildren Cateal, Dakota, Breanna and Rachel, brother Errol, brother in law Ron, niece Susan and nephew David. As well as many cousins and lifelong friends.
Fay was born on February 17th, 1939 in Vancouver BC. She attended Selkirk Elementary and Gladstone High where she met the love of her life and best friend Bruce (Brucie).
Fays greatest passion was "her family". Nothing gave her more pleasure than to be surrounded by them all, sharing a meal and talking about the days events.
Health and fitness were important to Fay. She exercised everyday and participated in many sports including figure skating, lawn bowl and curling. A huge fan she loved to watch hockey, football and baseball followed by her post game wrap up.
Mom always encouraged and supported
her children with all their athletic endeavours.
She was also the most enthusiastic cheerleader!
You have no idea how inspirational
you were to us Mom!
Fay loved to walk everyday. She held a brisk pace that was hard to match. Well known for walking the beaches of Maui, we are positive she tread her own path on Kamole Beach II.
Fay was curious by nature she loved to learn. Nobody could possibly ask more questions in rapid succession. She loved meeting new people and hearing their stories. She loved history, culture and travel. Suffice it to say she and Bruce travelled the world. Fay was diligent and meticulous with her travel logs too.
Fay loved the outdoors. She enjoyed her yard and her garden, especially when it was filled with friends and family.
Mom had an unforgettable laugh and a smile
that lit up the room.
Both will be deeply missed but
fondly remembered.
The family would like to thank Dr. Hollinger for his compassion and care. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to all the wonderful staff at Irene Thomas Hospice. Angels walk amongst us.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Irene Thomas Hospice.
