George William Robert Johnson was born in Binscarth, Manitoba, on November 3, 1928, and passed away in his sleep, in Kelowna, BC, on December 27, 2024. He was predeceased by his eldest son, Kenneth Robert (Rob), and numerous siblings. He is survived by his ex-wife Helen; two sons, Jerry (Nancy) and Patrick (Paul); daughter-in-law Sandy; three grandchildren, Kenneth (Christine), Gordon (Melynda) and Kirsten (Burgess); and seven great-grandchildren. George retired as a detective following long service in the Vancouver Police Department, after which he retired to the Okanagan. No service by request.
