Gordon McConnachie Obituary

It is with deep sadness we announce Gordon has passed. Pre-deceased by his loving wife of 54 years Lona (2006) and leaving a hole in the hearts of his children: Barron, Kathleen (George), Patricia (Steve) and Christina (Chris), grandsons Daniel, Barron, Maxwell, Fraser and Colin along with two great grandchildren Caleb and Mackenzie Lona. He is survived by his brother Nairn. His was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, friend, uncle and mentor to many. He enjoyed the past many years with Phylleda Ciccozzi at his side. They shared many laughs and good times together. Gordon was born in Vancouver and graduated from John Oliver High School. His early career was in the personal finance industry. He was an entrepreneur trying his hand at "Oldies But Goodies" used car rentals until he turned his attention to real estate. He opened Southpointe Realty in Tsawwassen and was a well respected member of the real estate community. Gordon was always a charmer with a good sense of humor right to the end. Gordon was honored with a Lifetime Membership at Beach Grove Golf. Please join his family to celebrate his life on Sunday June 19, 2016 at 1pm-3pm at Beach Grove Golf Club 5946 12 Ave, Tsawwassen

I'm to sorry to hear this. He was the Area VP when I started with Avco in 1977, and was good to me!

My deepest sympathies to the family. Gordon and Lona lived opposite to us on Wilson Drive in Tsawwassen. My son used to mow their lawn. He was very understanding and helpful to me and my two children during a real tough time I was having during my marriage breakup and even helped me find accomodation. May he rest in peace.

My heartfelt condolences to Nairn and Gordon's family over the loss of Gordon. I remember him from the John Oliver Class of 1946 interviews that I did in 2002 for the book "The Story of South Vancouver and John Oliver High School."
