MCMULLEN, Gordon A long life filled with love and adventure 1924-2017 Gord was immensely proud of the time that he spent in the Air Force as well as his long career with Air Canada, but more than anything his pride came from his family and the love of his wife Alice. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters that were born and raised in Winnipeg with the love and attention of their many aunts and uncles. It's not where you go, it's who you go with. Gord and Alice traveled the world, and were fortunate enough to do it with some amazing people. Not only did they touch down on most of the continents of the world, they were named honorary citizens in Barbados. Although his health did not allow him to keep up with the long walks on the Tsawwassen dyke that he loved so much, his face always lit up when his kids, grand kids and great-grand kids entered a room. Even at the age of 93 he could often be found lying on the living room floor playing cars with his great-grand kids. His unwavering love for Alice was apparent even until his last days where he was holding her hand in his hospital bed, squeezing so hard she said "wow, you must still really like me" they both laughed, and she had to pull one of her hands away to wipe a tear of happiness. "I love you to the moon and back Alice." Gord will be deeply missed, but the lessons in kindness, generosity, and love that he so wisely gifted us with will live on in his family and friends forever. Thank you Gump, keep watching out for us. Everyone loves, honors, and grieves in their own ways. We ask that you fondly keep your favorite memory of Gord and celebrate him in a way that brings a smile to your face; that is what he would have wanted.
