Gregory Ponsart Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gregory James Ponsart at the age of 72 in Vancouver, BC. Greg was a beloved stepfather, partner, brother and grandfather. He had a razor-sharp intellect and wit and will be deeply missed by all who loved him. A Celebration of Life to honour Greg will be held on September 25 at 1:00 pm at the Coquitlam Legion, 1025 Ridgeway Avenue. Truly one of my favourite teachers in high school, Mr. Ponsart had an impact on my love of English, poetry and journalism. Rest In Peace sir.

Greg was a long time neighbour and friend who I will sadly miss. Like the obituary states, he had a razor sharp intellect and wit. His mediation skills often played out during strata meetings. I loved our "hallway chats" and miss them. I can still hear his voice, and feel his relaxed, joyous demeanour, his laughter at our unofficial rule, "Where are you going and when will you be back?" Greg´s friendliness and kindness in the building affected all who lived at the Alvarado. Greg was definitely one of my favourite people ever. RIP Greg. "When will you be back?"
