Jacqueline Park Obituary

Rachel, Iain, Kirsten, and Christopher Park are deeply saddened to announce the passing of their mother, Jacqueline Park (née Enguehard), in Delta, British Columbia, Canada, on March 4, 2026.

Born on the French island of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon in 1942, she was the daughter of René Enguehard and Marie de la Villefromoy, the widow of Felix Park, who passed away in 2006.

She was a professor at the Frecker Institute of Memorial University in St. John's, Newfoundland, and later served as Honorary Consul of Canada in Saint-Pierre and Miquelon. She retired in British Columbia in 2018.

She is survived by her brothers Joseph and René Enguehard of St. John's, Newfoundland, and their families; her six grandchildren, Meave, Ève, Maddy, Raphaël, Élise, and Julien; her daughter-in-law Sarah; her sons-in-law Olivier, and Christophe; as well as many relatives and dear friends in Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, Canada, France, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.

A private gathering will be held to honour her life.

J'offre mes plus sincères condoléances à la famille de Jacqueline. J'étais un de ses étudiants a L'institut Frecker en Automne 1991. Je retiens beaucoup de souvenirs spéciaux de mon stage à SPM. L'éducation et les leçons donnés de la part de Jacqueline, Félix et les autres memres de la faculté ont fait une grande partie de notre formation. Cet influence devient de plus en plus rare dans le champ de l'enseignement. Elle a touché la vie de bien des gens au cours des années.
