Joan Kent Obituary

Our loving Mother and Grandmother Joan Elizabeth Kent passed away the morning of February 23/2016. Joan is predeceased by her husband Richard, son Trevor and Kramer their quirky cat. Joan is survived by her son Rick (Mary Jayne) Nancy, Sharon and Gillian (Jim). Her grandchildren; and there is a lot of them Amanda, Hanna, Griffin, Cole, Jorgia, Danika, Troy, Jamie, Abigail and Jack. Four granddogs (our mother loved animals) Maddie, Pepsi, Bella and Clark.

Joan was the most wonderful and kind person one could ever meet. We all loved her and will miss her very much. We would like to thank all of her wonderful friends that kept in touch, visited her and took her out for great lunches and conversation.

Joan requested no service but we are sure going to have a celebration of life for Joan and this will take place March 25/2016 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at Jim and Gill Gortons. Please contact the family for details.

In lieu of flowers please donate to the ALS Society of BC.

Dear Nancy, Gill, Rick and Sharon,

My deepest sympathy on the loss of a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandma and friend. Joan was an absolute sweetheart and I'll never forget her kindness to Sharon before and after Trevor's death, which devastated both of them. She was a lovely friend to me when I visited and we shared a love of reading the Outlander books among other things. Rest in peace, Joan - be happy with Dick and Trevor again.

With love,
Luanne and all the Griffin Family.

I am so sorry for your loss. My mom and Joan had a long friendship, and I remember playing with Rick and Nancy while our moms would visit in Prince George. Joan was a very warm and friendly woman, and devoted to her family.
