Joan Tarves Obituary
With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Joan Tarves. At almost 92, and having lived a full and happy life, Joan passed peacefully at Irene Thomas Hospice.
Born in the Okanagan to farming parents from Austria, Joan moved to Vancouver after high school and worked in Vancouver, where she met her husband, Jamie.
After having two children, the family moved from Vancouver to other parts of Canada, including living briefly in Tsawwassen. While in Toronto, Joan's husband Jamie passed away in 1978, and Joan relocated with her two children back to Tsawwassen, where she then lived for close to 50 years.
Joan was predeceased by her sisters, Mary and Liz. Joan is lovingly remembered by her son Blair, daughter Lesley, and daughter-in-law Cheryl. Joan will be remembered as kind and loving by her family and friends.
A private service will be held for family and close friends.
