My condolences to the Mondin family, I have worked the same days, shifts, & location, with John for the last four years, he was one of the best partners I have had. We always had each other's back; at the same time tried not to take our job to seriously; but instead try to have some fun with it. Working with John was one of the few things I looked forward to when coming into work. He will be sincerely missed; but never forgotten. (N.F.P.C.)

I offer my sincerest condolences to the Mondin family. I worked with John for so many years in a time that seems so long ago, but somehow I still remember our conversations, quite fondly I might add – he had that kind of a lasting impression on people he worked with. I wish you everlasting peace my brother.

Dear John,
With sorrow in my heart there are no words left to say, but please forgive me for being ignorant and blind.
You will be present in our hearts spread as the blue sky, moving as the mountain stream, blooming as the beautiful flowers and singing as the birds.

Dial it up.

Hey John,
Sorry I missed you man. I'll catch you at Phillies. Park on the boulevard, next to the trike. That's Elvis' ride. He serves up the joe. Jimmy's there. Dude can't drive. He'll probably try to bum a ride. The couple at the end of the bar are ok, I guess. Marilyn keeps singing the birthday song and Bogie, well what can I say?
All of my love to you,
Chris.

Dear John,
A couple of weeks ago, I stopped by Central Control after a short day shift. You were on Days of Rest, and also stopped by. You proudly introduced me to your favorite, four legged female companion "Poppy". I learned how she came into your life on Rememberance Day, hence the name "Poppy". I thought to myself, what a beautiful and poignant namesake. It was wonderful to see the bond you shared with her.
I am thankful for the time you shared with us John, regretfully, all too brief.
You will be forever remembered with love and fondness.

We had the privilege & honour of working with John since the old days at VPSC. He was someone who did his job well, had your back, and was respected by all. He was always good for a laugh with his undeniable quick wit and sense of humour that always brought a smile to our faces. He will be greatly missed and will always stay in our hearts. Rest in peace John. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family.

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth, and danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings and while with silent lifting mind I've trod the high, untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of God. (John Gillespie Magee).

I can say that knowing "Johnny" Mondin was entertaining! I was dating one of his friends Rui (Roy) and those two were like brothers. Fighting, rivalry, motorcycle lovers, trying to out do one anther, was comical. I enjoyed his humour, his brilliance (always winning at Jeopardy) his total calm demeanor about him and his drive to enjoy his life. I am so very sad to hear of his passing and hope that he is in a better place now.

I had know John when he & Rui (Roy) were good friends and I guess they always were, even though the rivalry was a constant. (I was ex of Roy so I saw the craziness they had with each other)I remember him as the Jeopardy champ, extremely brilliant, very laid back almost too much. I would almost say at times, he was on "auto-pilot". I am very sad to hear of his passing and would never had it thought possible. Way too young and he seemed he knew where he was heading! Johnny, you will be missed and never forgotten! I hope your other life will be better.

My thoughts go out to the Mondin family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I had the good luck to work a few years with John and carpool with him and K.Lowe. I enjoyed his sense of humour and loyalty to friends. He never got involved in the politics at work and was always dependable. I will miss him.

And they shall not be forgot,
those who walk these halls and units with us,
who toil with honour and dignity
where few dare to tread,…
John did his duty, and did it well,…
More cannot be asked,
Nor need be said.
Rest in peace my friend,...

You were one of the "good guys" John. Your morals were strong, and you always were there when you happened upon people in need. I keep my great friends in my heart and you will always be there. Save some of the road up there for the rest of us and the "4 legged Pop Star will always have a home".
Your Friend Always, Callum Campbell.

Photographs are a moment of time
Snatched away in a second
A beautiful scene
A memory of a good time
A face of a friend
All of which is tucked away and forgotten
Then, taken out and remembered again.
Frattello, recordo siempre, cotticino e polenta... thanks for the memories John, we all miss you a lot. your locker neighbor...

Crossing the Bar
Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,
But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.
Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;
For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.
