Joseph MAGDALL Obituary

MAGDALL, Joseph Stephen
June 7, 1951 - July 8, 2024

Joseph Stephen Magdall, 73, of Ladner, BC, passed away on July 8, 2024, after a brave and swift battle with cancer. Born on June 7, 1951, Joe lived a vibrant life filled with laughter, love, and an unwavering spirit.

He was predeceased by his parents and his beloved sisters, Betty and Helen. Joe is survived by his nephews Bill and David and his devoted wife, Victoria Presley, who was truly the apple of his eye-when they weren't bickering, of course. Their spirited relationship was a testament to the love and joy they shared throughout the years.

Joe dedicated most of his working career to being a drywaller, honing his craft with pride and skill. After retiring, he found a new passion in dog walking, bringing him immense joy and countless furry friends into his life. He loved riding his Harley around. His colorful stories, sharp political views, and unparalleled sense of humour will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of Joe's life will be held at the Richmond Yacht Club (please use Cambie Road entrance) on November 10th, 2024 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Delta SPCA, an organization that resonated with Joe's love for animals.

Joe's legacy of love, laughter, and friendship will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

I was very saddened to hear of the sudden passing of my Uncle Joe. We had spoken a few weeks earlier when he was recently diagnosed and I must say that his fighting spirit never waned!

He was kind of a hybrid between being my uncle and my "drop-in" big-brother...as my parents raised him from the age of 12 (and I was about 4 at the time). He was a huge help to me in a very bad period I was going through about 10-11 years ago and I'll always fondly remember his positivity and belief in me which helped me a lot to persevere and emerge the better.

At this time, Cancer is affecting me once again in a second-way, I won't be able to get to the Celebration (at least as of this writing), but hope to be out to BC one day soon.

I will most certainly heed your suggestion and make a donation to the Delta SPCA...much love,

Bill Webber

Joe took care of my Bella a number of times....
And Bella truly adored Joe. Joe and I had many
Interesting stories to share and I met up with him a few months ago and he shared what he was going through. He has been in my prayers and thoughts.
